Repeat Pattern Monday
I woke up so tired this morning. I suffered from a blocked duct around 3 am. I didn't know why I felt like having the flu... Well, apparently, the flu-like feeling is a sign that traces of milk entered your bloodstream and your body is treating the milk as a foreign protein (your immune system is fighting it).
Ahhhhh... breastfeeding is amazing.... but it can also be painfull!
(Margot is seven months old today!)

liste du vendredi : random thoughts about ostrichs
1. The males are black and the females are grey.
2. The female's feathers are of poor quality. They are used to make feather dusters.
3. The male's feathers are transformed into fashion accessories (hats, evening dresses, Mardi Gras masks, feather boa...)
4. Ostrichs are monogamous (the female chooses the male).
5. Females lay an egg every other day.
6. The eggs are incubated by the females by day (as the drab females blend in with the sand) and by the males by night.
7. Most eggs take about 40 days to hatch.
8. They are equivalent to 14 chicken eggs (not cholesterol friendly).
9. An ostrich lives approximately 50 years.
10. Ostrichs have two toes on each foot with the nail on the larger.
11. They can cause serious injury with that nail (it can rip you open, with your intestines and others viscera coming out)
13. They swallow pebbles that act as gastroliths (stomach stones that grind food)
14. Their brain fits into a teaspoon.
